“He who knows others is learned, he who knows himself is wise” Lao Tse.
Using tools validated by Dr. William Moulton Marsden you will gain the greatest possible insight into how you behave and why you behave the way you do (your motives). This can be a useful tool when planning your life and deciding on new directions. When you have become self aware you can then help yourself and others more.
Behavioural Assessments
Specialists in resolving performance and behavioural problems OPTIMUM Trainers are experts in the design and development of advanced bespoke training and facilitation programmes from supervisory to Board level.
These programmes range from senior management /director one-to-one coaching, building high performance teams, 360° feedback, appraisal, Look-Who's-Talking, communication and many more. OPTIMUM trainers are qualified behavioural analysts and attitudinal analysts, which means that clients are helped to understand not only the various behaviours of their team but also why the team members behave the way they do. By understanding both how and why people behave the way they do, the channels of communication are opened and it becomes easier to resolve conflicts, challenges and to motivate others.
Behavioural Profiles
Using a powerful range of software based on the work of Dr William Moulton Marsten, the behavioural profile utilises the DISC behaviour model. This model measures 4 core factors of a persons behaviour:
Dominance – how they handle problems challenges
Influence – how they handle people and influence others
Steadiness - how they handle change and the pace
Compliance - how they handle procedures and rules
Every individual has these characteristics within them, to different degrees. The profiles measure the person’s approach to each of those core factors and is a universal language that can be interpreted worldwide.
OPTIMUM has worked worldwide using the behavioural profile tools and results are consistent whether carried out in the Middle East, UK, Europe and the USA. The reports provide some valuable information to the individual and the manager on work styles, environment, best ways to communicate and how the relationship between employee/manager affects productivity and achievement.
In 15 minutes you could have more information than you’d get in a whole year!
The report will help both the individual and manager to learn more about each other than they would normally get in a whole year working together. Also, it’s a great way to know new employees, get them off to a good start, revitalize existing staff, improve team communications, morale and build upon all relationships.
The behavioural profile can help the person understand their own behavioural style – how they behave; how they eat, drink, walk, talk, drive, etc. The reports also provide information on how they adapt their style and what to do to get the best out of their relationship with others.
All the reports are available to purchase on-line with the tele-coaching session.

Attitudinal Profiles (PIAV)
If the behaviour profiles describe HOW you behave, the attitudinal profiles describe WHY you behave the way you do.
This can help to understand what motivates and drives a person. What makes them do what they do? Is it recognition, security, money, love of people or something else? This can help you to effectively motivate and encourage staff to produce more.
Why people do what they do affects performance at work and home. The PIAV report measures the prominence of basic attitudes (some of which are not always readily observed).
Based on the work of Eduard Spranger, Gordon W. Allport and Philip E. Vernon, the report identifies the motivating factors which helps managers to motivate their team according to individual needs.
Discovery 360 ° Feedback
Understanding management behaviour enhances the effectiveness of an organisation. The Discovery 360° Assessment provides senior managers with a report of their team’s perception of their management style. It could highlight areas for change and improvement. Standard management, teambuilding and communication can be used, or tailored to personal/corporate competencies may be added. The manager, boss and team member all complete a confidential report on the individual being assessed.
Confidentiality is assured and provides feedback which is meaningful and accurate so the manager gets a clear understanding of how their style and behaviour impacts on the team and peers.
Recruitment
These tools provide some valuable insights to help confirm that you are recruiting the best people to fit the role. The Interviewing Insights and PIAV reports can identify behavioural and attitudinal indicators that help the employer objectively assess the candidate for the role.
The Interviewing Insights Report identifies the behaviours for the role, while the PIAV identifies how the job will fit the candidate’s desires and life goals and how they can be motivated if you offered them the job.
Excellence for Learning
Motivation, communication, interaction are the core characteristics of a good teacher. The EFL (teacher) report provides the teacher with valuable information about their teaching style and the perception students may have. With highlights like the “teachers preferred teaching environments, strengths and areas for improvement”, it can bring about some great benefits. The report also identifies the motivations of the teacher – which is useful to administration staff determining future arrangements.
